Description

The clock tower at the west angle of Market Place in Bexleyheath was built in 1911 by architect Walter Epps. It is constructed of stone and red brick. The base features a rusticated podium leading to the first storey, which has a round-arched entrance with an open pediment on the west face. Above this, there is a modillion cornice and Ionic pilasters that flank niches on the second stage, with clocks positioned above the cornice. The tower is topped with a pyramidal roof.
