Description

Christ Church Parish Church, built between 1872 and 1877 by architect William Knight of Nottingham, is a cruciform structure featuring an aisled nave and a polygonal apse for the chancel, although the crossing tower remains incomplete. The church is constructed from ragstone and showcases ornate lancet windows in the chancel, framed with nook-shafts and nailhead detailing. The clerestory includes plate tracery, while the aisles and transepts have lancets topped with rose windows. There are north and south porches, and the interior is notably lofty with a wooden roof.
