Description
Artisans' cottages, built in 1908-9 by Barry Parker and Raymond Unwin as part of the Hampstead Garden Suburb. Numbers 29 and 31 are identical in design to numbers 13 and 15, Temple Fortune Hill, but differ in having flat-arched entrances. The walls are pebbledashed, with a weatherband just above a brick plinth. These cottages form a group with numbers 1-35 (odd) and 2-36 (even) on Temple Fortune Hill, contributing significantly to the original artisans' quarter planned by Unwin. The design prioritised a unified streetscape composed of distinct building types.
