Description
No. 166 Hampstead Way is a house that has been converted into commercial premises. It was built in the early 20th century and features brickwork in Flemish bond, accented with red brick and stone dressings. The building has a high parapet above a hipped roof covered in tiles. It stands two storeys tall and has a symmetrical three-window arrangement. The round-arched entrance is framed by a Tuscan prostyle porch that includes a pediment with raking cornices and a decorative fanlight. There is a storey band and a cornice at the parapet. The design reflects the late Classical style. This building is included for its group value, as it provides a smooth transition from the substantial brick structure of Temple Fortune House on Finchley Road to the smaller scale of Nos. 162 and 164 Hampstead Way.
