Description
The Martin Smith Mausoleum is a mausoleum built between 1904 and 1905, designed by Paul Phipps. It is located near the entrance of the exedia at the far eastern end of Golders Green Crematorium. The structure is made of brick with Portland stone dressings and features a parapetted roof. It has a square plan and is a single storey building in the Baroque Revival style. The mausoleum is part of a group with the Golders Green Crematorium complex and is one of three listed features in the grounds, which also include the Philipson mausoleum and a sculptural group titled "Into the Silent Land."
