Description
The mausoleum to the Philipson family, located at Golders Green Crematorium, was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and built between 1914 and 1915. It is constructed from Portland stone and features a single storey, circular plan topped with a domical roof that has an oculus. Surrounding the structure is a narrow external circulation corridor, which is enclosed by a "woven" stonework screen. The mausoleum is accessed through bronze doors and faces the south-eastern garden walk.
