Description

This is a row of six houses, numbered 1 to 7, located on the northeast side of Eaton Square in London. They were built in the early 19th century. The houses are constructed primarily of brick with some stucco detailing. Roofs are largely hidden, except for the slate mansard roof on number 7. Each house has two windows, except for number 7 which has three. The buildings extend over four storeys, with an attic and a basement. The ground floors of the houses are channelled in stucco, with numbers 1, 4 and 5 being exceptions. Numbers 2 and 3 have stucco applied to the full height of the facade. Ionic porches are present at numbers 2, 3, 5 and 7. The entrances are round-headed, with a round-headed ground floor window at number 6. Otherwise, the windows are square-headed, featuring sash windows with some original glazing bars, and gauged heads above. French windows are found on the first floor, and there are iron balconies, some seemingly dating to the 20th century. A simplified cornice runs above the fourth floor. Iron spearhead area railings are also present.
