Description

No. 6 Hobart Place is a detached house dating from the mid-19th century and subsequently altered. The house is constructed of stucco with a slate mansard roof. It is four storeys high, with an attic mansard and a basement. The façade is four windows wide, featuring channelling to the ground floor. A projecting porch is present, with a panelled door located in the second bay from the left. A balustraded balcony is positioned on the first floor. The windows have square heads, architraves, and pediments above the first-floor openings. A modillion cornice runs above the third floor. The windows are sash windows with plate glass. Cast iron area railings take the form of spearheads. The building is included on the list for its group value with Eaton Square.
