Description
This is a terrace of six houses built in the early to mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of yellow-brown brick with a channelled stucco ground floor and stucco dressings. The roof is hidden behind a parapet. Each house has two storeys and a basement, with a single wide bay. Steps lead to the front doors, each adorned with a fanlight featuring radial glazing within a round-arched architrave. The ground floor windows are round-arched sashes with glazing bars, and radial glazing in the upper part of the window. Number 32 has two sashes to the ground floor and a later door in the bay to the left. A first floor band runs along the façade. Round-arched recesses are found on the first floor, incorporating projecting brick window bays with sash windows and glazing bars. Iron balconies are present. Above these recesses are sashes with glazing bars, set within flat gauged brick arches. Houses numbers 30 and 31 have a smaller window to the left at both first and second floor levels. The group value of the terrace lies in its cohesive architectural style and contribution to the historic streetscape.
