Description

No 1 Queen's Grove is an end of terrace house built around 1830-1840 as part of the Eyre Estate development. The building features a stucco exterior with a rusticated ground floor and a slate roof. It is designed with a giant order and stands three storeys tall, with three windows across the front, although the center window is blind. To the right of the entrance is a square-headed doorway next to a carriage entry. The first floor has recessed sash windows set in architraves with cornices on consoles for the outer bays, while the central blind window is framed by pilasters. Above the ground floor, there is a dentil cornice from which giant Corinthian pilasters rise to the main cornice and blocking course.
