Description

A row of houses located at 101-105 Eaton Place, London SW1, and including number 72, dating from the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of stucco, with a roof that is not visible. They rise to five storeys and a basement. Each house is originally three windows wide, though number 72 may have been designed as three separate dwellings. The composition has three bays at each end that project slightly. These bays feature projecting Doric porches with triglyph friezes. A balustraded balcony is located on the first floor. Cornices are present above the windows of the first, second, and third floors. The first-floor windows within the projecting end bays are pedimented. Architraves are above the ground-floor windows. The windows are largely sash windows with glazing bars, although the first floor has French casements. A cornice is positioned above the fourth floor. Cast iron area railings are present.
