Description

No 4 St James's Street is a terrace house built around 1731-32, with some later alterations. It features a brown brick exterior and a slate roof, rising four storeys with a dormered mansard. The house is three windows wide. The ground floor was altered around 1890, and it has recessed sash windows on the upper floors without glazing bars, all set under flat gauged arches. The building has a parapet with coping, and the flank wall of the ground floor, which leads to a passageway to Pickering Place, is adorned with wooden panelling.
