Description

This is a grand terrace of six houses, numbers 63 to 66 Eaton Square, built in the mid-19th century. The houses are stucco-faced and have basements and five storeys. Each house has a three-window front, with vertical channelling to the ground floor. A continuous first-floor balcony is balustraded, and features projecting Doric porches. The windows are sash windows with plate glass. The first-floor windows are flanked by Ionic half columns, those on the second floor have arched reveals also flanked by Ionic half columns, and the third floor incorporates a unifying cornice and central pediment. The fourth floor is treated as a frieze with garlands between the windows. A rich dentil cornice sits above the fourth floor, and the houses have slab chimneys. Cast iron area railings are present.
