Description

The memorial to Sir Joseph Bazalgette is a wall-mounted structure dating from 1890, shortly before Bazalgette's death in 1891. It features a white marble pedimented tabernacle designed in the early Renaissance style. This tabernacle is affixed to a granite block located upstream from Hungerford Bridge. Inside the tabernacle, there is a bronze portrait bust set in a roundel, along with a bronze cartouche.
