Description
The Windsor Castle Public House is an end of terrace public house built around 1822-1830 as part of the Crown Estate development. It features a stucco facade and a slate roof, with a distinctive bow front. The building stands four storeys high and is three windows wide. The public house frontage includes panelled and glazed doors on either side of a bar window, which has panelled risers. This is framed by Corinthian fluted columns and pilasters that support an entablature-fascia. The upper floors have recessed glazing bar sash windows, and the front is topped with a castellated parapet. A cast iron balcony with a geometric pattern is located on the first floor.
