Description

A terrace of houses at 67-71 Eaton Square, dating from the mid-19th century. The buildings are constructed of stucco, with roofs hidden from view. They rise to five storeys and a basement, and each house is three windows wide. The end houses are slightly set forward and feature rusticated quoins. The ground floor is characterised by channelling. Projecting Doric porches, adorned with triglyph friezes, provide access. A continuous balustraded balcony runs along the first floor. The first-floor windows are topped with segmental pediments, although the outer houses have triangular pediments instead. Cornices are present above the second and third-floor windows. All windows above the ground floor are sash windows with glazing bars, with French casements on the first floor. A console cornice sits above the fourth floor. The terrace is completed with cast iron area railings.
