Description
No. 6 Panton Street is a terrace house with a shop that has its origins in the late 17th century. The front of the building was likely rebuilt or heightened in the mid-18th century and features early 19th-century stucco facing with a concealed roof. The house is four storeys tall and two windows wide. The ground floor includes a square house doorway on the right, which has a fanlight and a panelled door, along with an early 19th-century shop front that has been altered. This shop front is adorned with reeded wooden pilasters that have rosette stops, supporting an entablature-fascia with a modillion cornice. The upper floors feature recessed glazing bar sash windows with flat heads, and the first floor has architraves. There is an architraved panel between the first and second floors and a stone plat band above the second floor. The building is topped with a parapet that has coping.
