Description
No. 5 Panton Street is a terrace house with a shop, originating from the late 17th century, with the front likely rebuilt or heightened in the mid 18th century. The building is constructed of painted brick and has a concealed roof. It stands four storeys high and is two windows wide. The ground floor features a mid 20th-century shop front. The upper floors have recessed sash windows, some of which still have glazing bars. These windows are adorned with stucco architraves on the first floor and flat gauged arches on the upper floors. There is a stucco architraved panel between the first and second floors, along with a stone plat band above the second floor. The building is topped with a parapet that has coping.
