Description
This is an early to mid-19th century terrace of buildings, incorporating a public house. It was partially rebuilt at some point. The terrace is constructed of brown brick, with a stucco ground floor to numbers 32 and 34, and a fully stuccoed front to the public house. It stands four storeys high with a basement. The terrace comprises two bays each, except for the public house which has four bays. Numbers 32 and 34 have round-arched recesses containing entrances with fanlights, and round-arched sash windows with glazing bars and radial glazing in the heads. The public house has a 20th-century ground floor. Otherwise, the shop fronts appear largely altered from their original 19th-century form. Above, numbers 32 and 34 feature casement windows with iron railings to the first floor and flat stuccoed arches. The public house has casement windows to the first floor within architraves with pediments on consoles, and sash windows with glazing bars above. Other windows are sash windows with glazing bars. A sill band runs along the third floor, with a cornice to the public house and a parapet coping. Spearhead-shaped iron railings define the basement level.
