Description

This is a terrace house located in Golden Square, dating from approximately 1684-85 and remodelled in 1790. The house is constructed of brown brick with a slate roof and extends over four storeys and a basement, originally featuring three windows across the façade. A doorway is positioned to the right, featuring a segmental arch, a six-panel door with side lights, and a patterned fanlight. The ground floor windows were altered in the early 20th century. The upper floors retain sash windows without glazing bars, set within flat, gauged red brick arches. The building is topped by a parapet with coping, and it has wrought iron area railings. It is one of the few original houses remaining from the square's creation. The interior is generally simple, with enriched plaster cornices in the hall and main rooms, and a late 18th-century staircase.
