Description
This is a mid-19th century mansion located at 2 Albert Gate, London. It is one of a pair of buildings, alongside number 1 Albert Gate. The exterior is painted stucco with a slate mansard roof. The building is five storeys high and five windows wide, with returns of four windows wide. A rusticated finish is visible on the ground floor. The central entrance is within a Doric porch featuring coupled columns. The first-floor windows have a pedimented design, flanked by Corinthian half columns, and are complemented by a continuous balustraded balcony. Individual balconies are present on the second floor. The upper floors are distinguished by architraves and a cornice. Ground and first-floor windows are French casements, while the upper windows are sash windows with small panes of glass.
