Description

This is a row of houses located on Eaton Terrace in the City of Westminster. The houses date to the early 19th century and have been altered since. They are built of yellow brick, with the ground floor finished in channelled stucco. The roofs are largely hidden, with slate mansard roofs visible on numbers 45, 51, and 53.

The houses are generally three storeys high with a basement, although numbers 27 to 35, 47, 49, 55, and 57 are four storeys. Each house is two windows wide. The entrances are round-headed, as are the ground-floor windows. Upper windows are square-headed with sashes, retaining their original glazing bars. Stucco architraves are present on numbers 27, 33, 45, and 47.

Cast iron balconettes, featuring an anthemion pattern, are present on most houses except numbers 27 and 35, which have a different design, numbers 59 and 61 (which are 20th century additions), and number 45 (which lacks balconettes entirely). A parapet runs along the top of the building, and original cast iron area railings front the properties.
