Description
This is a terrace of houses located at 2-5 Belgrave Place, also including the entrance to 35 Eaton Place. The houses date to the early 19th century and have been altered since their original construction. They are built of stucco and have green slate mansard roofs. The terrace is three storeys high, with an attic and a further attic within the mansard roof, and a basement level. Each house has a three-window front, with the end houses set forward slightly. Doric projecting porches are at ground floor level, with fluted columns except for the porch at No 2. The windows are square headed, with sash glazing bars and French casements to the first floor. A continuous cast iron balcony sits above the first floor, although this is of stucco construction on the remaining houses. There is a cornice above the second floor and a smaller, subsidiary cornice to the attic. Cast iron area railings with a spearhead design are present.
