Description

This is a row of terraced houses at 4-8 Sussex Place, London, built in the early to mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of brown brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with some areas reddened and number 8 stuccoed. The ground floor is channelled stucco, with stucco dressings throughout. The terrace is four storeys high, with each house having two bays, except for number 8, which has three bays and incorporates a mews arch to the left. Each house features pilastered entrances within projecting Ionic porches. The windows are sash windows, with glazing bars to the first floor. The first floor has a balcony. The first-floor windows are framed by architraves with hoods. Iron railings are present at basement level.
