Description

This is a row of four large houses located on Queen's Gate in London, built around 1860. They are constructed of stucco with low slate mansard roofs, and feature rusticated quoins. The houses are four storeys high, with additional mansard attics and basements, and each is three windows wide. Each house has a projecting Ionic porch. A continuous balcony runs along the first floor. The windows have square heads and architraves. The centre window on the second floor has a balustraded balcony. Number 200 has a canted two-storey bay window. A rich modillion cornice runs along the top of the building. Tall chimney stacks have pediments at their ends. Cast iron area railings are present.
