Description
No. 47 Palace Court is a terraced house built around 1890, designed by Leonard Stokes. The building features red brick with painted dressings and stands four storeys tall with an attic beneath a gabled roof. Its design includes four rain bays and an irregular composition, topped by a full-width stepped gable. The ground floor is highlighted by polychrome bands, and there is a round-headed entrance on the left with recessed panelled doors. A canted bay window is located in the center of the first floor, featuring a continuous mullioned window and a parapet above. The house has small square-headed windows and small paned casements. There are three windows on the second floor and four on the third, along with a long low window in the attic that has a cut brick apron. The gable is adorned with polychrome bands and moulded coping, and wrought iron railings complete the exterior.
