Description
No. 19 Pembridge Square is a detached villa built between 1852 and 1856, as part of the planned layout of Pembridge Square. The building is three storeys high with an added attic and basement, and has a slate roof. It features three main bays, with a central entrance framed by flanking Doric half columns. The ground floor is channelled. Canted bay windows are present on each side of the entrance, rising through the ground and first floors and topped with balustraded parapets; ground floor balconies are attached to each bay window. Ionic pilasters are placed between the first-floor windows, while Corinthian pilasters flank the corniced second-floor windows. The windows are square-headed, except for those on the second floor, where the upper corners are rounded. The windows themselves are sash windows with plate glass. A dentil cornice sits above the second floor. A later attic addition features three dormers, with a round-headed central dormer and square-headed outer dormers.
