Description
This is an irregular terrace of four houses built around 1865-70, located on Bayswater Road in London. The houses are constructed from stucco, with four storeys each, except for number 61 which has three. They are each three windows wide, with rusticated strips marking the divisions between the properties. Each house has a projecting Corinthian porch and a canted bay window on the ground floor, although number 64 has been replaced with flush Portland stone. First-floor balconies are present, with balustrades to number 64, cast iron to numbers 61-62, and a replacement to number 63. The first-floor windows are flanked by Corinthian columns. Windows on the second and third floors have architraves, while those on the second floor have cornices. A console cornice runs above the third floor, although it is missing from number 63. The mansard roof features dormers, which have been removed from number 63 and are without a pediment on number 61. Cast iron arcaded railings enclose the area. The buildings are included in the listing primarily for their contribution to the group value of the surrounding area.
