Description

The table tomb to Robert Wood, dating from around 1800, is designed in a Neo-Classical style and is located on Upper Richmond Road. It features a stone-faced structure with a stepped plinth that supports the dies, which are inscribed with the names of Robert Wood and Anne, his widow, who died in 1803. The end faces of the tomb display shields suspended between claw feet. At the top, there is a bold cornice and an elaborate catafalque resting on ball feet.
