Description
Bromley Hall, dated to the 16th-18th centuries, is a dark red brick building with a steeply pitched, tiled hipped roof and a plaster coved cornice. The building retains features from an earlier 16th-century structure, including octagon angle turrets and brick string courses. It was largely remodelled around 1700, and a single-story wing was added to the south side during that period.
The building is two stories high with dormers, featuring four windows with double-hung sashes and glazing bars within cased frames set in raised brick margins. The interior contains 16th-century moulded beams, though most are now boarded over. A remnant of a staircase, dating to circa 1700, exists, featuring a square newel post and twisted balusters, leading to the attics. A simpler staircase from the early 19th century, with a continuous handrail, is present elsewhere. The north front of the building is plastered.
