Description

This is an early 18th-century building on Fournier Street. It was rebuilt with a yellow brick facade and features a parapet. The building is three storeys high with a timber attic, containing three windows arranged under a segmental arch. The windows are sash windows with flush frames. The entrance has a plain stucco surround with a cornice above. The Great Synagogue forms a group with numbers 1 to 39 (odd), numbers 2 to 20 (even), number 84 (The Ten Bells Public House), Christ Church on Commercial Street, and numbers 57 & 59 Brick Lane, and number 2 Wilkes Street.
