This is an early 18th century building on Fournier Street. It is constructed of painted brick with a slated mansard roof. The building is three storeys high with a continuous row of dormers. There are three windows on each floor, each with a segmental arch and flush frames. The windows contain sashes, some with glazing bars. The wooden doorcase is no longer present, but the front door retains fluted pilasters and a rectangular fanlight with tracery above.

The building is part of a group featuring The Great Synagogue, numbers 1 to 39 (odd), numbers 2 to 20 (even), number 84 (The Ten Bells Public House), Christ Church on Commercial Street, and numbers 57 and 59 Brick Lane, and number 2 Wilkes Street.
