Description

The Limehouse Church Institute is an Edwardian Baroque building dating from the early 20th century, situated on Three Colt Street in Limehouse, London. It forms a group with several nearby buildings including Limehouse Town Hall and St Anne's Parish Church.

The building has a terracotta facade and is two storeys high, with three bays. The ground floor features two light windows, separated by pilasters. The central doorway has a rusticated architrave and a decorative, segmental hood above, where a round window replaces a conventional fanlight. A cornice and engaged pillars are positioned above the ground floor, flanking a central three-light window topped with a segmental pediment. Round windows are located on either side of this central window. A large segmental pediment crowns the building, and the eaves feature a modillion cornice and balustrades. Lettering is incorporated into a band below the first-floor windows.
