Description
This is an early 18th-century house with a shop on the ground floor, altered in later centuries. The front is stuccoed, with a pitched pantiled roof behind a parapet. The building is three storeys high and originally comprised two and a half bays. The ground floor features a 19th-century shop front, which has been altered. The first floor has segmental-headed sash windows retaining their original glazing bars; a blind half-bay is located on the left. A raised band runs above the first floor. The second floor has a square-headed six-light window, blind except for the centre pair of lights, which have been fitted with later casements. There is a coped parapet. The house was likely designed for use by silk weavers.
