Description

Alderman Stairs and gate piers are located on the south side of St Katharine's Way in London. They consist of stairs and a causeway leading down to the river, along with gate piers at the road entrance. The gate piers are large square structures made of brick, topped with white stone caps and spiked iron ball finials.
