Description
Nos 16 and 18 Garford Street are an early 19th century pair of houses. They are constructed of stock brick with a hipped slate roof, a wide eaves cornice, and a central chimney. The houses are two storeys high, each with two sash windows. The windows of No 18 have glazing bars; No 16 has more modern window replacements. Both ground-floor windows are set within wide brick arches that extend down to ground level. Side doors provide access to the properties. The listed buildings on the north and south sides of Garford Street are linked by the 19th-century roadway surface and form a compact group.
