Description
The Tomb of Ellen Llewellyn is a funerary monument commemorating Ellen Llewellyn, who died in 1854. It is made of Portland stone and features a tall three-stage design. The base is a plain square, with crossed torches on the north side. The middle section is also plain, while the upper section includes a pediment adorned with reliefs of wreaths, hourglasses, and a tail-biting snake, along with acroteria on each face and a slender tear vase at each corner. The monument is topped with a draped urn. This elaborate Neo-classical structure is part of a notable group of memorials located near the entrance of the cemetery.
