Description

The entrance building to the Greenwich Footway Tunnel was constructed in 1902 by the London County Council to accommodate the lift shaft and entrance to the pedestrian tunnel leading to Greenwich. This circular building is made of red brick and features a domed glass roof. The exterior showcases panelled brickwork, with double entrances framed by moulded architraves and a plaque positioned above. Inside, the building has a plain tiled interior and a mahogany panelled lift.
