Description
The iron railings, gates, and gate piers surrounding the churchyard of St Mary's Church date from the 18th to 19th century. The railings feature spear finials and are complemented by internal hollow decorative square piers. There is a central four-arched lamp bracket, which is damaged, located at the crossing of two paths to the west of the church. The gates are made of iron, and the gate piers are constructed from stone. This group, which includes St Mary's Church, the iron railings, gates, and piers, along with the statue of W E Gladstone and bollards, forms a focal point in the center of Bow Road. It also groups with Our Lady of St Catherine Roman Catholic Church and No 199 on the north side of Bow Road.
