Description
The gate piers and iron railings at Columbia Market Nursery School date from the mid to late 19th century. The gate piers are made of polished grey granite topped with white stone caps. A lion holding a shield is positioned on the western pier, while the other piers support bases for iron lamp standards. The entrance features iron gates, and there are damaged cast iron railings that extend from a low wall, which is rendered and also capped with white stone.
