Description
St Paul's Church House is an early to mid-19th century building located adjacent to St Paul's churchyard. It is constructed of brown brick, with a later top floor made of stock brick. The building has a two-storey structure with two windows on the eastern or main facade. The centre wing rises to three storeys and features seven windows, flanked by two-storey wings, each with one window and stuccoed alcoves. All windows include glazing bars, and those on the ground and second floors are adorned with round-headed moulded stucco archivolts. There are stucco bands at the top and ground floor levels where the arches spring and at the first-floor sill height. The building has a heavy eaves cornice, which is now topped by the additional storey of the centre section. Above the first floor of the main section, there is a stucco recessed panel. The flanking doors are highlighted by heavy stuccoed porches that feature double pilasters, an entablature, and a cornice. St Paul's Church House, along with St Paul's Church and its railings, wall, and gates, forms a cohesive group.
