Description

A row of six terraced houses at numbers 2 to 12 Trinity Street, now shops with living accommodation above, was built in 1827 and subsequently altered. The houses are constructed of brick in Flemish bond, with windows featuring gauged brick lintels. They have mansard roofs covered in slate and tile, and stucco dressings. The buildings are three storeys high, with roof dormers, and each has two windows. The ground floors of numbers 2 and 4 have been largely altered with 20th-century shop fronts, while the remaining houses retain remnants of later 19th-century shop fronts. First-floor windows are set within round-arched recesses. A parapet with a stucco entablature is present on numbers 2 and 4. The interior remains uninspected. The buildings are listed for their group value, reflecting their contribution to the development focused around Trinity Square and Trinity Street.
