Description
46 Queens Road is a house built in the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond with stucco dressings and features a parapeted roof. The building has three storeys above a basement and presents a symmetrical facade with a three-window range. Access is via steps leading to a round-arched entrance, which has double doors from the 19th century. This entrance is set beneath a porch with Tuscan antae and responds, and the side walls are pierced by round-arched lights with original glazing bars. The porch also includes an entablature and a damaged blocking course. On either side of the entrance, there are round-arched windows located in round-arched recesses. All windows have projecting sills, with the upper-floor windows being flat-arched and featuring gauged brick lintels. The sashes are of the original 8x8 design. A storey band runs between the first and second floors. To the right of the entrance, there is a mid to late 19th-century shop front that occupies the basement area. The interior has not been inspected.
