Description

This is an early to mid-19th century terraced house located on Queen’s Road, Southwark. The parapet and roof were rebuilt in the 20th century. The house is constructed of brick in Flemish bond, with stucco dressings. It has a slate Mansard roof, also rebuilt in the 20th century, and features two flat-arched dormers designed in the 20th century. The building is three storeys high, with a basement, and has a three-window facade. The ground-floor openings are round-arched and linked by a stucco springing band. The basement windows are segmental-arched. The remaining windows are flat-arched, originally with gauged brick lintels, though concrete lintels now replace these on the second and third windows of the second floor. Steps lead to the entrance, which has a fanlight with decorative glazing. A pair of original 6x6 sash windows are located to the right of the entrance. All windows have projecting sills. The windows in the entrance bay are blocked, while the remaining upper-floor windows contain original 6x6 sash windows. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
