Description
The gates, gate piers, and street railings to Guy's Hospital, located on the south side of St Thomas Street, were constructed in 1741. They feature original wrought-iron gates and railings that enhance the entrance. Above the gates is a decorative overthrow that holds a shield with the inscription "Dare quam Accipere." The gate piers are made of rusticated stone and topped with ball finials, and they include niches that serve both the street and the forecourt.
