Description
The statue of Thomas Guy, the founder of Guy's Hospital, is located in the center of the forecourt of the hospital. It was created in 1734 by the sculptor Scheemakers. The statue is made of bronze and stands on a later stone pedestal, which features bronze religious reliefs on two sides. The statue is enclosed by a square of wrought-iron railings that are raised on two steps.
