Description
This sculpture, titled "Two-Piece Reclining Figure No. 3," was created by Henry Moore in 1961 and installed outside a sub-station on the Brandon Estate in 1962 by the London County Council. Made of bronze from a carved plaster cast, it measures approximately eight feet long and is set on a plinth atop a grassy mound. The piece features a reclining figure composed of two disjointed halves, reflecting Moore's exploration of the relationship between separate elements. Its rugged and naturalistic appearance complements the urban environment in which it is located.
