Description

Numbers 105-117 comprise a terrace of seven houses built in the late 18th century. The houses are constructed of yellow brick, with slate roofs featuring a mansard design and dormers behind a coped parapet, with exception of number 105. The houses are generally three storeys with a basement and attic, although number 105 has been extended to four storeys. Each house has three bays. Most retain their original doors, each with a cornice head and fanlight set within a round-arched opening, featuring plain reveals. Number 117 has a Tuscan porch with an open pediment and dentil cornice. The windows are mostly sash windows, and many retain their original glazing bars. Concrete lintels are present on numbers 105-115, replacing brick arches damaged during the war; number 117 features flat gauged-brick arches and a first-floor sill band. The interiors were not inspected. Cast-iron area railings are present as subsidiary features. Numbers 91-117 (odd) form a group value context with nearby buildings.
