Description

Number 52 is an early 19th-century house situated on the west side of Southwark Bridge Road. The building is constructed of brick in Flemish bond, with stucco facing applied to the basement and ground floors. It features a parapeted roof. The house is three storeys high with a three-window front. The segmental-arched entrance has an overlight with decorative glazing. Flanking the entrance are coupled iron supports for a first-floor balcony, which has a metal concave roof. To the right of the entrance, two round-arched windows are topped with architraves and springing bands, with the spandrels treated as blind balustrades. The upper-floor windows are flat-arched, with a sill band to the second floor. An entablature band runs along the parapet. Chimneys are located on the return and party wall. The interior has not been inspected. The property includes railings to the area.
