Description
The entrance gates and piers of Dulwich Old College were built in 1728 by G Buncker. The gates are made of decorative wrought iron and feature an elaborate overthrow. They are positioned between piers and side walls constructed of coursed rubble and ashlar, which are topped with stone urns and ball finials. These gates were relocated to their current position north of Dulwich Old College from the north side of the College quadrangle. The entrance gates and piers are part of a group that includes the Old Grammar School on Gallery Road.
